5 Best Scrubs for Exfoliating Your Body

No matter what body soap or washing tool (rag, loofah or mitten) we use, our skin never gets as soft as we like. It wasn't until we incorporated a body scrub that we finally achieved the texture of our dreams.

Technically speaking, using an exfoliating mitten or loofah will exfoliate your body, but this method can often hoard bacteria, which is why we prefer to use clean hands and scrub. With that said, we've used a lot of scrubs, and there are five that have left a last impact on our lives. Keep reading to discover these miracle products.

Dove Crushed Cherries & Chia Milk Exfoliating Body Scrub: $6.99

As far as drugstore bath and body brands, one of the only companies we trust is Dove. Their products tend to be more gentle on the skin because of their hydrating and clean ingredients. Of course, their scrub was no different. This body polish comes with moisturizing cream, and the cherries are said to revitalize your skin. And, as always, it smells delicious.

Soap & Glory Original Pink The Scrub of Your Life Body Scrub: $12.99

As people who have struggled with keratosis pilaris, or "strawberry skin," for years, we've been desperate to find a scrub that eliminated our bumps. This one from Soap & Glory was one of the first that made a difference. This thick gel-textured scrub has plenty of beads for intense exfoliation—we wouldn't recommend this on sensitive skin, but it's perfect for keratosis pilaris skin that is begging to be exfoliated as much as possible.

Beauty of Joseon Apricot Blossom Peeling Gel: $13

If you have more sensitive skin, we highly recommend this Apricot Blossom Peeling Gel from Beauty of Joseon. This brand hails directly from South Korea, and many of its products are known for being effective without being too harsh. This scrub specifically is a "gommage treatment." So, instead of scrubbing and rinsing like other products, you let this cream sit and then wash it off. If you need any more convincing, this method is literally known as "gentle exfoliation."

Isle of Paradise Confidently Clear Body Polish Scrub: $28

We've been transparent about our struggles with body acne, and even though we've mostly got it under control, we still have the scars. One of our favorite scrubs to combat hyperpigmentation is this Isle of Paradise Confidently Clear Body Polish Scrub. The glycolic acid brightens skin and prevents new pimples, while the polyglutamic and hyaluronic acid will keep you from feeling dried out.

Skinfix Resurface+ Glycolic Renewing Scrub: $32

The Skinfix Glycolic Renewing Scrub is like the more luxurious version of Soap & Glory. This item was created specifically with keratosis pilaris in mind, so it has plenty of AHAs and BHAs that target the bumps. Besides decreasing rough areas, this scrub is also "clinically proven to improve skin's firmness and elasticity." There's a whole set, so check out the rest if you've never been able to keep your keratosis at bay.
