Our Favorite Sheer Tops for Fall

Everyone loves a sheer top for summer. They're light. They're breezy. They're fun! But just because the warm weather is ending doesn't mean we should retire those shirts for the rest of the year.

Sheer tops, from mesh to lace, can be a great way to incorporate layering into your outfit. They can be the accent underneath a cute tank or jacket or accentuate a bralette.

It's safe to say we'll include these tops in our rotation—here are a few of our faves to inspire your fall fashion.

Charlotte Russe Mesh Ruffle T-Shirt: $7

Charlotte Russe was the go-to place in the 2010s for all your affordable fashion needs. They might have closed most of their brick-and-mortar shops since, but their online store is still on and popping.

This black mesh tee is bringing back the old ruffle trend we loved. And where else can you get a decent versatile top for only $7?

Boohoo Ruched Long Sleeve Halter Detail Mesh Top: $18

Off-the-shoulder tops have been all over our Pinterest and Instagram feeds, and we have to say we're on the brink of finding a new fashion obsession. They just bring something youthful yet elegant to every shirt, and this one from Boohoo takes it to the next level with the dainty sleeve and halter straps (which are great for anyone who hates constantly adjusting their clothes).

PrettyLittleThing Cream Sheer Floral Textured Long Sleeve Oversized Shirt: $32

A sheer oversized shirt, like this one from PrettyLittleThing, can be the perfect way to get the see-through vibes you love during the summer but with more coverage. This top is great for formal occasions, like work or dinner. And once the cooler months pass, it'll still look great during spring and summer.

Revolve AFRM Kaylee Long Sleeve Top: $38

There's something very mesmerizing about a printed mesh top. It's really a statement to any outfit because of its bold graphics, and this shirt from Revolve is a clear example. The butterfly swatch brings so much life to an otherwise plain outfit—and the nude one ties all the colors together.

Urban Outfitters Pria Semi-Sheer Asymmetrical Top: $39

Asymmetrical hemlines are all the rage, and we are definitely jumping on the trend. Every shirt with one gives us the illusion of more shape without the discomfort of cinching your waist. And besides being flattering, this shirt from Urban Outfitters also has a super adorable pattern with swans—this is the print we never knew we needed.

We're calling it now. Lace will be everything this fall. So, we'll get ahead of the curve by purchasing this gorgeous two-piece set from Tiger Mist. This top has a chic, sheer lace tank and a matching bolero—another 2023 fashion trend we can't get enough of.

Anthropologie Porridge Mesh Layering Top: $68

One of our most worn patterns during the fall is plaid, so we were very excited to discover this top from Anthropologie. As the name suggests, the shirt is great for layering, just like what we mentioned earlier. And according to the reviews, it also has one very great trait: it's true to size, which can be hard to come by with mesh.
