6 Sports That Are Even More Fun During the Summertime
Is anyone else across the United States experiencing this sweltering heat wave? Some of us at Sweety High are witnessing three-digit temperatures. But we're not complaining because we love the beaming sun on our backs, not to mention the beautiful clear skies and light breezes, too.
In our eyes, it's the prime season to go outside and get active. Below, discover six sports that are even more fun during summer.
Beach Volleyball
If your hometown is anything like ours, you get to experience all four seasons. In other words, your winter and fall are freezing cold, so you almost have to spend most of your days inside the house. That said, we always miss going to the beach, and it's not a true day in the sand without playing volleyball. Enjoy the optimal weather while moving your body now that it's nice out.

Pickleball
The nice thing about pickleball is that you can play it indoors. Most people do during the colder months. Now that the weather is warm and sunny, you can play outside. Many sports facilities offer outdoor courts. Plus, the air resistance will make the game more challenging and interesting.

Swimming
Like pickleball, indoor swimming is pretty popular. In fact, it might be even more popular than in outdoor pools. However, a pool that has cool temperatures might be exactly what you need on a hot day, and we all know how to fun it is to leisurely swim. You can even take a break to simply float.

Archery
Archery is one of the most underrated sports. We actually learned it in school, so we can advocate for how fun it is, and with the return of The Hunger Games, we've been wanting to unlock our inner Katniss Everdeens. Shooting a bow and arrow outside during the summer is extra fun because of the windy weather conditions. You must think more critically to determine air resistance.
Surfing
Okay, so you know how to swim, but you still want to shake things up. Go to the next level by surfing. Surfing takes an intense level of precision and athleticism to ride the waves. Once you learn, you'll never want to stop. Plus, you'll get cool points in everyone's book for knowing how to do this niche activity. Surf's up, dudes!
Skateboarding
Keep it easy and breezy by traveling via skateboard this summer. Skateboarding isn't as physically extensive as the other activities on this list, but you'll feel just as great when you're done. It's a great thing to do when you simply want to bask in the sunlight.
