5 Video Games to Get You in the Fall Spirit
Ah, fall. You always make us feel sentimental. There's something about the sepia tones and potpourri scents that remind us of our childhood and adolescence. And something we tend to appreciate more as adults.
Unfortunately, fall passes by in the blink of an eye, so we never have enough time to enjoy the autumnal ambiance. To stay in the season a bit longer, we like to transport ourselves into the virtual world of fall-themed and Halloween-esque video games. Below, find a few of our favorites to help you appreciate the core of autumn through the entire season.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons
One of the best things about Animal Crossing is that the seasons change as they do in real life. Your villagers will be there to celebrate every holiday with you and every kind of weather, from sunshine to snow and rain. So, whether you're in the midst of watching the leaves turn orange or live in an environment that only experiences one season, Animal Crossing will be the perfect way to feel the heart of autumn.
Life Is Strange
Despite taking place in modern society, Life Is Strange evokes a sense of nostalgia as you watch teenage Max Caulfield bond with her friends. In a race against time, Max must also save her hometown from an impending threat. It might not be inherently autumnal, but the game's golden hues and soft acoustic music give us all the fall vibes.

Night in the Woods
Night in the Woods is literally a fall game. This story follows Mae Borowski as she attempts to assimilate back into her hometown. At the town's Halloween festival, Mae witnesses something strange, sending her into a spiral. Get to the bottom of the mystery and go through a bittersweet and heartfelt journey of self-improvement and discovery.
Bully
Some might not want to relive the drama of returning to school, but if you're post-college like us at Sweety High, it's kind of heartwarming to relive student life in a game like Bully. The only word we can use to describe this game is campy, as you interact with the average high school cliques, like nerds and geeks, while also attempting to woo your crush and combat irritating teachers.
