You’ll Be OBSESSED With The First Trailer For Disney’s ‘The BFG’

Is anyone else counting down the minutes until July 1st? That's when Disney's The BFG hits theaters, and we're having a VERY hard time waiting that long for one of our fave books to hit the movies in film form!

What it's about: An orphan named Sophie befriends the Big Friendly Giant, who whisks her away to Giant Country. Soon, Sophie finds out that the other giants aren't quite as friendly as the BFG, and would do pretty much anything to have her for their next meal.

Why we love it: The BFG is based on an AMAZING book of the same name by Roald Dahl, who only wrote some of our fave stories EVER, including Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Matilda, James and the Giant Peach and about a billion other really great stories.

Why we can't wait: We're SO excited to see Disney bring The BFG to life, and we really want to see newcomer Ruby Barnhill in the main role as Sophie. It's her first movie ever, but she seems so perfect for the part and we're super excited on her behalf!
