6 Boots to Wear Even During the Height of Summer

Even when it's scorching hot outside, there's an urge inside that drives us to wear boots. They have the superpower of making it seem like we put extra effort into all of our outfits, and trust us—the hotter outside it is, the less work we put into picking out nice clothes.

We understand that most people don't want their legs and feet to get sweaty because of the hot temperatures, but there are some shoes that just look amazing during the summer and can be more comfortable than sneakers. Continue reading to find some of our favorite boots that still work, regardless of the heat.

Nasty Gal Faux Leather Ankle Sock Boots: $44.80

We love the Nasty Gal Spice sock boot but aren't interested in wearing a leather-tight, knee-high shoe when the temperature is pushing 100°. Luckily, there are many alternatives, and one of our favorites for the summer has to be these ankle boots from Nasty Gal. It's still got the gorgeous chunky heel and sleek fit but with less coverage, and it doesn't hug your legs as tightly, which will make it a lot easier to wear these in hot weather.

Over the past year, we've seen Hunter boots come back into style, and people are styling them more diversely than with the preppy outfits we remember from the peak in the mid-2010s. It wasn't our cup of tea, which put us off from rainboots for a long time, but seeing all the edgy looks on Pinterest has us finally craving the iconic, waterproof Hunter Tall Boot.
