The Heart and Soul Behind Sweety High

Veronica Zelle, founder and CCO of Sweety High, landed a super-sweet article in Manhattan Beach's Easy Reader. She shares how her safe haven for tween girls was born, and how she got by with a little help from her high school friends.

Heather Hedges, one of the site's main "Foundation Girls" and a recent graduate at Mira Costa High, shared a little about the brainstorming that lead to the creation of Sweety High: "She asked us what we, when we were in middle school, would have wanted in a website. We all talked about making it girly and fun, but also a safe space." These creative sessions with local High Schoolers is where Zelle earned the nick name "The Teen Whisperer".
