Editor

Designer
Although we're told not to, we all have judged a book by its cover. As a designer, you can be the reason why someone does pick up a book. As the name suggests, designers will design the aesthetics of the book. Most commonly, this includes the cover, but designers also have a say in selecting the font and whether to include stylistic accents throughout the interior.
Publicist
So, maybe you're not an artistic person. Or, you might not be the quickest to identify trends within the industry. Instead, publicity may be your calling. Publicists enter the room post-production. As the book gets ready to premiere, the publicist will work on pitching the novel to publications, libraries and more; they also help set up interviews and monitor press.
Author
Corporate isn't for everyone, especially if you are a natural creative. If you're not interested in making others' books come to life, consider making your own. We will warn you—it will be an uphill battle to finally get your story published, but it will be well worth the blood, sweat and tears.
