5 Essential Items You NEED to Bring to Every Concert

Over the past decade, we've gone to over 100 concerts and have drastically changed our strategy. Today, we can go to a live show with maximum comfort because we know exactly what to pack.

Whether you're a concert newbie or a live music connoisseur like us, it's never too late to optimize your next trip. Below, here are the five essential items we bring to every show.

A Clear Bag

When concert venues initially (and rightfully) banned regular bags, we started packing small, usually with our phone, keys, and phone case wallet. But most of the time, that doesn't cut it. We despise switching out all of our bank cards, and it's nice to bring extra supplies, like emergency first aid or a portable charger.

Investing in a clear bag (like this Fibrdoo option from Amazon) resolved all our problems. We can now bring every item we list in this article, and it is so convenient to have it in one compact place rather than juggling everything in our hands.

A Portable Charger

Have you ever been at a concert and forgot to charge your phone? We have, and we can tell you it's not fun, especially if it dies.

Without arriving with a fully charged cell phone, you must pick and choose what songs you want to record and whether you can take pictures. If your phone actually does die and you're alone, you better have your way home memorized. Otherwise, you might be walking across the city to locate a portable charger. And honestly, it's just an overall safety hazard. Stay out of trouble and bring an extra charger (such as this TQGX option).

A Handheld Fan

Having a small fan isn't necessary, but it definitely is nice.

There have been a few concerts, especially general admission shows, where there is zero air conditioning and everyone is shoulder-to-shoulder. A little air from a handheld fan, such as this Treva fan, can go a long way to prevent you from passing out. Even if you're not overheating, don't underestimate the power of a cool air shot.

Hand Sanitizer

We are total germaphobes, and concerts can be a breeding ground for bacteria. Even worse—have you ever been to an outdoor concert that only has a portable toilet, and the sinks are nonexistent? Having hand sanitizer can save the day, and we love this BLACKPINK Power Mist Hydrating Hand Sanitizer from TOUCHLAND

Earplugs

If you're a frequent concertgoer like us, there is no debate that you should invest in a pair of quality earplugs, like these Experience Plus ones from Loop. Honestly, even if you go to one or two concerts a year, you need them.

Going to a live show can be one of the loudest experiences you ever have, and the decibels can be extremely harmful to your ears. Once you go too long without ear protection, you increase your chances of tinnitus and permanent hearing loss.
