Meet the Fashion Aesthetics We Expect to Trend in 2025

2024 was a great year for fashion. Think about it—Balletcore, Strawberry Girl and the Office Siren. This year, style trends are already off to a great start with the many rising aesthetics on the horizon.

Below, discover all the looks you can expect to see in 2025, including throwbacks and forward-thinking fashion.

Indie Sleaze

After the rise of Brat in 2024, we expect to see more people leaning into Charli xcx's aesthetic. Besides, budding artists like Addison Rae are starting to post on Tumblr again, so we might as well bring back the Tumblr grunge. Expect to see lots of ripped tights, hilarious graphic tees and effortlessly beautiful but slightly messy hair.

2020core

We've been seeing plenty of videos on TikTok of people feeling nostalgic about the 2020 aesthetic. We won't be surprised if people start to revive this fashion of this era. Like it was five years ago, you'll see plenty of bright colors, baggy jeans and youthful accessories. It's time to be that happy and free again.

The Cherry Girl

Every year, we see the rise of one fruit-inspired aesthetic. Thanks to Hailey Bieber, 2023 (and 2024) saw the Strawberry Girl aesthetic. This year, we've seen cherries over everything. Plan to see plenty of deep red tones and a classy aura, just like a maraschino cherry. It may go hand-in-hand with the "Office Siren" look.

2014core

Like 2020, people have been missing the vibes of the early '10s. Don't get this confused with Indie Sleaze. The peak 2014core is much happier and brighter. Think bright color shorts and cheesy graphic tees. Fun-printed tights and combat boots. All the infinity scarves you can find. That said, we could go without the mustache print on everything.

Modern Medieval

Fantasy books have made quite the splash in 2025. Soon enough, we'll see Fourth WingQuicksilver and Lightlark adapted on screen. And what do we era of time do we associate with these stories? Medieval! Imagine princess-inspired silhouettes coming back, with tons of ethereal corsets. And you heard it here first, folks: Vivienne Westwood will get even more popular.
