5 Truths Every Introvert Can Relate to During Christmas
Christmastime isn't for the weak, especially introverts. Honestly, we can't think of a time that we socialize more than we do in December between the parties, merry Christmas texts and gift shopping. It's safe to say that our battery is drained and burned dry by the beginning of 2025.
If you can relate to our dread for the holidays, continue reading to discover five truths every introvert knows all too well during Christmas.
You Avoid the Shopping Malls as Much as Possible
Christmas shopping is a nightmare. There are people on every corner crying, screaming and sweating. Why would we want to insert ourselves into this sea of people to do our shopping when we could easily order something online? Better yet, we could finish shopping in November or even October. Now, that's a great way to chill out until 2025.

You Max Out After 1 Christmas Party
One of the worst parts about Christmas is the number of parties we have to attend. We might have to meet with each parent's sides, our close friends, co-workers and our significant other. After the first one, we're mentally checked out. Sorry if you see us brooding in the corner somewhere. It's not personal.

You're Fine If Your Extended Family Doesn't Get You a Gift
More than anything, we avoid being the center of attention. Opening gifts on Christmas is terrible because our families want to watch everyone open their gifts individually, and we'd like to be done quick. To our aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents, we won't be sad if you give us less time to be stared at. That's completely fine with us.

You Can't Decide If Christmas or New Year's Eve Is Worse
We just wrapped up the intensity of Thanksgiving, only to experience the chaos of Christmas. Oh, and somehow, it gets worse. Less than a week after Christmas, we have to think about what New Year's Eve party we will attend. And sometimes, that's the worse because of the loud music and fireworks. Plus, we have to stay up and out until midnight!
At Least the Food Is Good!
We guess the holidays aren't all bad. We are total foodies and can never turn down good food. Christmas provides the perfect opportunity to chow down on a hearty dinner. When we're not out and about, we also get multiple cups of hot cocoa and all our other favorite Christmas flavors. That's how we stay energized for these outings in case you were curious.
