6 Spooky Recipes for the Most Adorable Halloween Treats

When there are no upcoming holidays, we never have the motivation to bake—despite how much we love it. It's so much more fun to make fun-themed treats for the season, and now that it's nearing Halloween, our drought has ended.

Ahead, find six frightening recipes to make the cutest treats you've ever seen.

Chocolate Spider Web Pretzels

We love recipes like this one from White Gunpowder because they're great for beginner bakers. To recreate this sweet treat, take a piece of parchment paper and lay your pretzel sticks into a star formation. Then, melt your chocolate, put it into a piping bag (or cut the end of a plastic bag to make a DIY version), and drizzle over top of the pretzels. Allow it to dry, and it's complete.

Ghost S'mores Dip

S'mores are definitely a treat we associate with summertime, but this ghost-theme one is the perfect way to bring it into fall. Thankfully, it's a pretty simple recipe, too. All you must do is place chocolate chips into a 9-inch skillet, pour heavy cream on it and top it with ghost-shaped marshmallows. Lastly, put mini chocolate chips to create the ghost face. Cook and eat with graham crackers!

Graveyard Pudding Cookie Cups

Does anyone remember eating those "dirt" pudding cups during elementary school? We haven't thought about them in years, but after seeing this Halloween recipe, we might relive those days.

First, crush Oreos—it might be easier if you have a food processor—and sprinkle them into the cup. Then, layer your chocolate pudding. Repeat these steps until your cup is full. Now, the fun part: decorate the top of the cup with a cookie tombstone, pumpkin candies, and anything else your heart desires. If you want even more character to this dessert, add more candies throughout the lower parts of the dirt.

Halloween Swirl Cream Cheese Brownies

Nothing says Halloween more than orange and black, and you can make the ultimate spooky treat with this vibrant brownie recipe. Warning: this is probably the most challenging to make.

Mix your dry ingredients (listed on the website) in one bowl and your wet ones in another. Combine and mix with a spatula. Then, pour the batter into your baking dish. Save some of it for later.

For the cream cheese layer, add all the ingredients into one bowl and blend it. Slowly drop your orange food coloring. Once you finish, cover the brownie base. Add the remaining brownie batter to the cream cheese and swirl to achieve a beautiful swirl. Bake, and enjoy.

Marshmallow Rice Bubbles Halloween Brain

We love homemade Rice Krispy Treats, so we could not contain our excitement when we found this recipe.

Begin by preparing a hot water bath. Put your butter and marshmallows into the bowl and whisk until it becomes a paste. Sprinkle your food coloring and whisk again. Take a large mixing bowl and combine the cereal with the marshmallow mixture. Finally, shape it into an oval and put a dent in the center.

Orange Pumpkins and Banana Ghosts

As much as we love the chocolatey goodness of the other recipes, sometimes we prefer something healthy, like these orange pumpkins and banana ghosts.

Peel an orange and add a small piece of celery for the stem. Chop a banana into thirds and place chocolate chips to make eyes. Simple and quick.
