We Reviewed The Skinny Confidential x ELEMIS Collab—Here Are Our Honest Thoughts
I've been an avid beauty lover for years now, and after trying out probably hundreds of products, I can tell when I've got gold on my hands.
So, when I was asked if I would be interested in trying out The Skinny Confidential x ELEMIS latest collab, I simply knew I needed to try it out. I'd never used ELEMIS before, but in the past few months, the brand has flooded my IG feed. From some of my fave influencers, to celebs and even some close friends of mine, it seems like everyone was posting about it.
The Skinny Confidential is one of the realest and funniest influencers I follow, so if she was down to attach her name to the products, I figured they were probably spectacular. Interested to hear my honest thoughts? Keep reading for my full review of The Skinny Confidential x ELEMIS collab:
The Brand:
ELEMIS is a British skincare brand that has taken the beauty world by storm. Loved from all corners of the world, ELEMIS is known for their high-end products that yield results.
The collaboration with The Skinny Confidential sold out in record time on the site, but don't worry—as of right now it's available on Ulta. The set includes three ELEMIS products along with some The Skinny Confidential goodies. Priced at $125 and worth $189, you truly do get a good deal.
The Products:
Pro-Collagen Rose Cleansing Balm
I've tried all sorts of cleansers in my day. From foams to gels to liquids to wipes—I thought I'd tried it all. I'd never gone with a balm before though, so I was super intrigued to see how it would work.
Upon opening the Pro-Collagen Rose Cleansing Balm, my nostrils were invaded with an aromatic, pleasant rose scent. This is because one of the main ingredients used is English rose oleo extract, which is said to leave you with super velvety skin. But that wasn't even my favorite part. Once I scooped the balm into my hands, it felt like an even softer version of coconut oil. It glided onto my skin and felt deliciously smooth.
After rubbing the product into my skin (which had makeup), I took a warm, damp washcloth and removed the remaining product. All of my makeup had come off, and it left me with supple, incredibly soft skin. This was by far my favorite product, and I plan on using it until I run out.
Pro-Collagen Rose Hydro-Mist
Currently in my beauty arsenal, I probably have about 15 different facial mists. Some are great as a midday refresher, others are good for setting makeup, and the rest tackle a number of other things. Since I'm pretty well-versed in the facial mist game, I had high expectations for the Pro-Collagen Rose Hydro-Mist.
Since this baby is packed with collagen, it's the perfect product to use for anti-aging. Even if you're "young," I think it's smart to start taking care of your skin as soon as possible. The mist itself is made with organic rose hydrolat, Mediterranean algae and a number of other good-for-you ingredients.
I first applied the spray after my morning skincare routine, and after spritzing my face with the mist a few times, I felt instantly refreshed. The scent was pretty much identical to the balm, so it made me feel like I was in a spa. I've been keeping the bottle on my desk and reapplying throughout the day since I first started using it, and I can say without a doubt it's my favorite facial spray of the moment.
Pro-Collagen Rose Facial Oil
Facial oils are another beauty product I have an abundance of, but I don't currently have any I'm in love with. That's why I was so excited to try out the Pro-Collagen Rose Facial Oil—with the hopes that it'd become my new fave.
After watching Lauryn Evarts Bosstick's stories (aka, The Skinny Confidential) where she talks in detail about the oil, I dove right in. In her IG stories, she recommended mixing the oil in with a foundation of your choice. She promised dewy and glowing skin, and that's exactly what I got.
Seriously—my skin looked angelic. I've only done that makeup trick once at this point in time, but I plan on trying it out again this weekend. If you don't feel comfortable using the oil this way, though, you can use it in addition to your typical skincare routine.
The Skinny Confidential Accessories
Included in the collab set, other than the ELEMIS products themselves, were some cute Skinny Confidential accessories. A cute, clear bag contains all of the products, along with an adorable heart-shaped mirror, some stickers and two hair clips.
I'm a sucker for hair clips and know I'll get good use out of them. And while I'm not necessarily a sticker person, my little sister is, so I gave them to her and she stuck them on her favorite reusable water bottle and laptop.
Bottom Line:
Overall, I was very pleased with The Skinny Confidential x ELEMIS collab.
By far my favorite product was the cleansing balm, so if you aren't quite yet ready to commit to the full kit, you must get the balm. However, if you do have the means to get the kit, prepare yourself for skincare bliss.
