The Top 5 Scenes From Mean Girls to Revisit on Oct. 3

On Oct. 3, Aaron Samuels asked Cady Heron what day it was. Of course, it would only make sense to honor the date as the official Mean Girls Day. This year, it's extra special because it's the 20th anniversary of the film's release.

As you get ready to do all things Mean Girls, revisit these five iconic moments from the movie, including the Oct. 3 scene and more.

5. 'It's Oct. 3'

We wouldn't have Mean Girls Day without this Cady Heron line. So, we had to include it on this list. It's such a simple line, but it really embodies the feeling of a new high school crush. They could do something as simple as asking you for a pencil or, in Cady's case, ask you the date, and you'll be over the moon.

4. 4-Way Phone Call

This scene of Cady, Regina, Gretchen and Karen talking to each other over the landline makes us miss the novelty of calling your friends on a multi-way call. However, our calls were never as juicy as the Plastics'. You really get to know the toxicity of their dynamic from this back-and-forth.

3. Meet the Cliques

"Meet the Plastics" perfectly introduces the film's characters. It establishes Janis and Damien's bond with Cady. Meanwhile, it also explains why Regina, Gretchen and Karen are so fetch. Then, you'll take a voyage through the cafeteria for a quick who's-who of everyone in the school. We can't be the only ones who tried to predict which clique we'd belong to.

2. Regina Meets the Bus

The film reaches its climax during the school assembly. Everyone gets to know how much of a villain everyone in this movie can be, whether it's Janis, Regina or Cady. And just as Regina storms out of the building, we get the gasp-worthy bus run-over that only the Queen of Plastics could survive.

1. The Winter Talent Show

We think about the Winter Talent Show every few months. It birthed the "That's so fetch" phrase and the "Jingle Bell Rock" performance. Honestly, we still probably know the choreography of this routine by heart. Plus, it's the scene that Ariana Grande recreated in her "thank u, next" video—now that's star power.
