These think! Protein Bars Pack All the Holiday Yumminess
Sometimes when I'm in a pinch and don't have time to make food, I reach for the nearest protein bar in sight.
I typically scarf them down on my way to the gym or over a cup of chai in the morning, not even savoring what I'm eating. Lately, I've been making it a point to really pay attention to what goes in my body and actually enjoy the food in the process. So, when the team over at think! sent over some holiday-flavored protein bars, I was more than excited to dive in and give them a try. Look below for my full review and taste test!
The Brand
think! is a brand that specializes in yummy protein bars and is available at most grocery stores. Made with quality ingredients, delicious flavors and all set at a fair price, it's easy to eat well with think!. Plus, the brand is gluten-free and packed with tons of protein—exactly what you'd want out of a protein bar. Plus, all four flavors I was sent have 10 grams of protein, which is the perfect amount for me!
The Protein Bars
Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Keto Protein Bar
The first bar I tested out was the Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookie Dough flavor, which is part of think!'s keto line. I'm a sucker for cookie dough and couldn't wait to sink my teeth in. Sometimes, protein bars don't meet my expectations in terms of flavor, but this one totally knocked it out of the park.
It was definitely more on the peanut butter side than I was expecting, but I was by no means disappointed. Featuring a creamy hint of peanut butter with a crunchy, nutty texture, it was finished off perfectly with a chocolate cookie dough bite. Plus, with just nine carbs, this is way better than a Luna bar, for example, which might have up to 30 carbs. Just note that on the wrapper it says the bar has two net carbs, which is keto-friendly, but when you take all of them into account, you're starting to get into some non-keto territory. So if you're keto, just make sure to keep that in mind!

Pumpkin Spice Latte Protein+ 150 Calorie Bar
Next up on my taste test was the Pumpkin Spice Latte flavor from the Protein+ 150 Calorie line. This bar has a lower carb count than a lot of protein bars out there with just 11 carbs, plus it has only five grams of sugar!
Onto the flavor—if you're into anything pumpkin, whether it's a PSL, pumpkin pie or something else, trust me when I say you're going to love this flavor. And while I wouldn't say it necessarily had that coffee hint, the pumpkin spice taste was plenty enough to satisfy my sweet tooth. With notes of pumpkin and cinnamon, this was the perfect mid-day snack to enjoy during the fall.

Chocolate Peppermint Protein+ 150 Calorie Bar
I'm not one to count my calorie and instead look at the carbs, but when a bar has 150 calories, you've got my attention! I was excited to see how the chocolate peppermint limited edition protein bar tasted. Would it be like a York candy? Toothpaste? I was intrigued and glad when it hit my tongue.
My tastebuds were immediately met with a creamy chocolate flavor accented by sweet peppermint. It was a fabulous combination and I found myself quickly scarfing it down. My boyfriend ate most of the box and claimed it was his favorite flavor, so I might need to put in another order for his Christmas stocking!

Chocolate Mousse Pie Keto Protein Bar
Last up in my taste test was the Chocolate Mousse Pie flavor, also part of the Keto bar line with nine carbs. However, it's still pretty high in terms of a keto lifestyle, in my opinion! And I would know—I was keto for nine months and probably wouldn't have wasted half my day's carbs on a bar. But that's just me. I put it in my pantry and when I went to grab the bar a few days later, I found that it was super melted, without even opening the wrapper. I immediately put all the mousse bars into my fridge and checked on them an hour later, finding that they'd firmed up a bit.
After realizing my mistake, I was ready to dive in. It didn't have the same texture and consistency as the other bars and was more like a mousse, just like the name suggests! With hints of whipped chocolate and even some chocolate crisp pieces, it pretty much melted in my mouth. It was sweet and totally hit the spot.

Bottom Line
If you're a fan of easy, on-the-go meals and bars, I couldn't recommend think! enough. Available at retailers including Target and Amazon, it's not at all hard to get your hands on these products. The Chocolate Mousse Pie flavor, for example, is at Target for $6.79 in a six-pack, which I think is a more than fair and affordable price.
