think! Protein Bars Are the Perfect Post-Workout Snack

For the last year, I've completely stepped up my workout game.

After purchasing my Peloton (thanks, COVID), I was determined to stay healthy and fit, even with gyms shutting down. Now that things have been reopening and I can finally get back into my normal swing of things, I've been really taking advantage of my sweat sesh times.

I work out three to four days a week, for probably 75 minutes at a time. I start out by focusing on a body part, like legs, chest, arms or back, and then finish off with 20 to 30 minutes of cardio. Afterward, I've been finding myself extra exhausted. So, when think! reached out to me about their new protein bars, with the promise of an energy boost and great for post-workouts, I was immediately intrigued. The Products

Lemon Crisp 10 Pack: $16.99

I was most intrigued to see what the lemon crisp bar tasted like. I'm a huge fan of lemon bars, and I thought it might be similar to that. To my pleasure, they were! Upon biting into the protein bar, my tongue was met with the sourness of lemon accompanied by the sweetness of sugar—and with only two grams of sugar in the bar, I was shocked it tasted so sweet! It had a crispy and cakelike aspect, which I appreciated.

If you like tart foods or drinks, or even something like sour candy, I think you'll absolutely love the Lemon Crisp bar. Plus, it has a whopping 15 grams of protein, which is more than enough to act as a post-workout snack or even a treat throughout the day.

I'm not sure if I necessarily felt a boost of energy after eating the bar, but I definitely didn't hit a slump. The first night I had the bar I also slept great. Whether it was a coincidence or the bar, I don't think I'll ever know!

Chocolate Crisp 10 Pack: $16.99

I've had so many chocolate protein bars in my life that I was expecting this one to simply blend in with the rest. I was actually surprised, however, to find that it was much richer in flavor than I was expecting. I'm a die-hard chocolate girl and am pretty picky when it comes to finding a brand I like. This one is sweet, rich, smooth and has that authentic chocolate taste. Plus, it has 15 grams of protein and just two grams of sugar.

And since they don't punch the same kick as the Lemon Crisp bar, I can see myself eating these in record time. I had my boyfriend try one after our workout, and he ate the whole thing in 60 seconds flat. Safe to say, he liked it!

As for the energy aspect, I didn't notice a significant change. I wasn't tired, but at the same time, I wasn't a ball of energy. I think it may have just mellowed me out, which I'm totally fine with.

Bottom Line

All in all, I'm really happy with my think! protein crisp bar experience. The chocolate and lemon bars were rich in flavor and easy to eat. I'd definitely recommend these to anyone looking for a post-workout snack or just as something to munch on throughout the day.
