The Undoing
Available with an HBO subscription, The Undoing is a psychological thriller starring Nicole Kidman and Hugh Grant. Based on a book, this miniseries follows a couple and their son living in New York City. When the mother of one of the son's schoolmates is found brutally murdered, the manhunt for the murderer begins. Deception and lies make up this phenomenal story, and we're sure you'll watch it all in one weekend.
Your Honor
Most of us believe we'd stay on the scene of a car accident, but in this series, running seems like the only option. Your Honor stars Bryan Cranston, who plays a respected judge in Atlanta. His son is involved in a hit and run, and pandemonium breaks loose. Will the judge protect his son at all costs, or himself? This series is still being rolled out on Showtime, and is well worth the wait.
Defending Jacob
If you have an Apple Plus subscription, you need to watch Defending Jacob like yesterday. Starring Chris Evans of Captain America fame as well as Downton Abbey's Michelle Dockery, you'll instantly be drawn in. When their son is accused of murder, the show slowly reveals the truth. Is their son a killer, or is he telling the truth that he didn't have anything to do with the crime?
Reckoning
Set in a rather dull suburban town, Reckoning (available on Netflix) is a show all about murder and deception. When a local teen is found brutally murdered, police are slowly led to believe a serial killer may be at large. Seen through the eyes of two different fathers, viewers are left waiting to figure out which of the two is the murderer. You will be on the edge of your seat to the end!
Sharp Objects
Gillian Flynn (of Gone Girl fame) wrote Sharp Objects, which was turned into a miniseries on HBO. This story stars Amy Adams, a writer who goes back to her hometown to report on the brutal murder of teen girls. As she gets closer to the truth, you'll be left completely shocked, even in the very last minute of the show.
