Timothée Chalamet Cut His Hair, and Twitter Can’t Stop Talking About It

When you're famous, even a simple haircut can stir up a wave of opinions.

Just look at Timothée Chalamet. The French-American actor attended various Toronto International Film Festival events over the weekend to promote his upcoming film Beautiful Boy, and when fans realized he'd cut his beloved hair short, they got busy tweeting.

To be fair, it was a pretty drastic change. Timothée went from having longer curls to much shorter ones, and they have a very different effect depending on how they're styled. Here's a look at the actor both before (left, taken March 4, 2018) and after (right, taken Sept. 8, 2018).

Here's another look at the Timothée's hair during an IMDb interview with the Beautiful Boy cast on Sept. 7.

Some people were immediately in love with the new cut after it became a headline during TIFF. Their tweets were glowing.

Meanwhile, though, other people were absolutely upset by the actor's new hair, and they made sure they were heard, too.

However fans may feel about the haircut, it may have been necessary. His shorter style is thought to be for a role; specifically, TheWrap speculated that Timothée did it to play King Henry V in the forthcoming Netflix movie The King, which started shooting at the end of May, according to Collider.

Let's just hope Timothée likes his haircut a lot more that his current hair's critics do.
