6 Tips for Staying Productive at Home During Quarantine
Raise your hand if you're over quarantine!
Since we're all stuck at home for the foreseeable future because of the coronavirus, it's time to buckle down and get used to it. Just because we don't have the option to go out and do our normal, everyday routines, it's not an excuse to get lazy. Sure, we can spend hours and hours watching Netflix, but in the end, what was accomplished? Nothing, except maybe the depletion of brain cells. That's why it's so important to be productive!
Keep reading for our six tips to staying productive when you're stuck at home during quarantine:
1. Wake Up Early
Before coronavirus took over our lives, chances are, you woke up around the same time every day for school, work or the gym. Your schedule shouldn't change just because we're in quarantine. By sleeping in or over-sleeping, you aren't doing your body any favors. Be sure to set an alarm every morning for the same time so you can get a head start on your day.

2. Meditate
Now more than ever, it's important to meditate. With our minds racing and anxieties reaching all-time highs, be sure to take some time for yourself to reflect and renew. When you wake up in the morning, try to spend just five minutes in a state of meditation. Put on some calming music, light a candle and think of all the blessings in your life.
3. Make Your Bed
Making your bed will make you feel like you have your life together. By having a nice and tidy bed, you won't be tempted to hop back under the covers. This is the perfect way to start your mornings, and when you're done, feel free to treat yourself to a steaming cup of joe!
4. Organize and Declutter Your Work Space
Since you're working from home, chances are, you have a setup to get all your tasks done. Hopefully your workspace is a desk, and if you don't have one available to you, get creative! By setting up an organized and decluttered workspace, your mind will go into work-mode, meaning you'll be way more productive.

5. Write Out Your Goals and Schedule for the Day
For some reason, we just love the feeling of checking off tasks we've completed on our to-do lists! Each morning, sit down and write out your schedule for the day. You can include things like meditation, breakfast, going on a walk or any work you have due. After that, write out your goals for the day. You can include reading a book, sending your friends motivational quotes and so on.
6. Get Your Heart Rate Up
Instead of spending all day on your phone or watching T.V., make sure to get your heart rate up. There are plenty of ways to do this while social distancing. Try out yoga, pilates, cycling, dancing or going on a run! By keeping your heart rate up, you'll get a rush of energy and strengthen your heart and muscles.
