Zendaya Dishes On Her Work With Trick-or-Treat For UNICEF!

Zendaya is the Trick-Or-Treat for UNICEF ambassador for 2014, calling on kids across the nation to do something great for Halloween this year. We asked Zendaya some questions about her involvement with the charity in a recent interview!zendaya trick or treat for unicef

"I heard about Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF and thought it was a really fun way to encourage kids to learn about what's happening in the world and inspire them to help others," Zendaya said. "I'm super excited about celebrating Halloween this year – what better way than to help young people around the world?"

Trick-of-Treat for UNICEF mobilizes kids to collect change for a cause during their trick-or-treating

"Kids who Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF really make a difference in other kids' lives around the world," Zendaya explained. "Money kids collect here goes to help kids in other countries who don't have basic things, like clean water, medicine, education and nutrition."

Best of all, it's easy to take part.

"There's so much you can do," Zendaya said. "You can go door-to-door to collect money for UNICEF, or set up a Crowdrise fundraising page online to get your friends and family involved."

And those aren't the only ways to get involved. For example, you can throw a Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF party.

"And, there's a Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF School Challenge for teachers of grades K-8," she added. "The winner gets a grant for their classroom. How awesome is that?"

Zendaya loves seeing young people make a difference. For her birthday last month, she had fans make contributions that will feed kids at three schools around the world for an entire year!

"My favorite part of Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF is that it empowers kids to help other kids, which is very cool," she said. "It's fun, it's easy and it makes a huge impact."

Zendaya plans to dress up this Halloween, too! We asked her if she has a costume in mind yet.

"I do, but keeping it a surprise!" she answered. "I love Halloween and getting dressed up in costume."
