Teen Dramas You Need to Binge-Watch During the Chilly Months

We now have the perfect excuse to cozy up on the couch.

Chilly weekends on our sofa are half the fun of the season—whether it's cuddling up with a new cutie, chillin' with your sibling or even doing a night in with your parents. But the age old question: What on earth do we watch?

Picking something everyone's going to like is tough, so we've sleuthed out our favorite shows—including a few super oldies—that you definitely should binge-watch this holiday break.

Beyond (Freeform)

If you like sci-fi, then you've got to watch Beyond. It's a show about a young guy who has been in a coma for 12 years and when he finally wakes up, he realized he has special powers! The entire first season is up on Freeform's site and is great for watching with the boys in your life.

Degrassi

One of the longest running teen dramas—which just so happens to star Drake—has 14 seasons of pure magic that you need to hop on this holiday season.

Emerald City

If you have a soft spot for The Wizard of Oz and Wicked, then you'll love NBC's Emerald City, a darker take on the story of Oz, in which Dorothy's all grown up.

Riverdale

If you're one of the rare folks who hasn't seen Riverdale yet, now's the time to get caught up on the town's drama, while taking some style cues from the show's stars. Stream season one on Netflix, and catch season two on the CW's website.

The OC

Where it all began, literally. Before Real HousewivesThe Hills and even before Laguna Beach… there was The OC. Dramatically over-the-top and now a bit dated, this TV show is still worth the hype, and without question, one of our all-time faves. It's make you laugh, cry, crush and live vicariously through the dramatic, privileged lives of these SoCal-based characters. Relive Seth Cohen's cheesiest jokes on Hulu.

Pretty Little Liars

If you have a ton of downtime and want a show with a bajillion episodes, check Pretty Little Liars. A chunk of episodes are available on Netflix. The show ended with their seventh season this past spring, and it's addictively good. There's said to be a spinoff on its way, so if you're still in need of a further PLL fix, your prayers may be answered!

Famous in Love

Bella Thorne has been making headlines this year with her bold outfits and love life, but she's stood out in our minds this year for her likeable role as Paige Townsen in Famous in Love, where she plays a young actress trying to make it in Hollywood. The show is based on novels by writer Rebecca Serle, so if you're already a fan of the books you're going to live for this show, available for viewing on Freeform.

Gossip Girl

This one is kind of a given, but if you haven't seen Serena Van Der Woodsen and Blair Waldorf in all their rich, upper east side gloriousness, you've gotta watch Gossip Girl. This deliciously juicy show is sure to entertain, if at least just for the standout style exhibited by Blake Lively and Leighton Meester!

Friday Night Lights

Hailed by some as one of the best TV shows ever, Friday Night Lights is another program that lives up to the hype. This show might be about football, but there's enough drama to please even the girliest girls. Talk about a great show to binge with a new beau.

13 Reasons Why

Executive produced by none other than Selena Gomez, this Netflix series has gotten some major buzz. Selena was originally supposed to star in it, but her lupus and kidney failure kept her from playing the part. That being said, this show is hauntingly good and keeps you wound up in the story until the very shocking and sad end.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Okay, the '90s are very much en vogue with fashion, so we find it only appropriate to be well-versed in the decade's TV and movies, too. Buffy the Vampire Slayer is the OG of vampire movies (sorry Twilight, you're just a souped-up version of Buffy), so when it spun off into a show, its popularity was thru the roof.

Gilmore Girls

Whether you're curious to start from the beginning or you recently hopped onboard for the Netflix revival, Gilmore Girls is a classic you just can't turn off! It's a beautiful coming of age story with a strong mother-daughter duo storyline that's perfect to watch with your own mom, siblings or BFF.

Glee

If show tunes and musicals are your thing, then chances are you've already seen Glee. But in the small possibility that you haven't, you've got to start! This get-out-of-your-chair-and-sing show will have you doing just that, especially because most of the numbers are set to mainstream pop songs! Expect lots of awesome celebrity cameos too–everybody seemingly wanted to get in on a piece of Glee. Catch up on Netflix.
