WEi Discuss the Power of Love and The Closing Chapter of Their Trilogy, Love Pt.3 : Eternally

There are three stages of love: discovering it (First Love), learning from it (Passion) and at its peak, mastering it and subsequently keeping it around forever.

In this final installment to their LOVE series, WEi closes the chapter in the eternal stage, leaving us with a promise: at some point, we'll all find a love that lasts, fostered by unconditional support and appreciation. But this project doesn't only explore sharing love with others—you, too, must extend love to yourself. Once you combine the two, it transforms into the most powerful kind of love—the one WEi reveals they hope to share with their supporters, RUi.

This sixth mini-album sees the K-pop sextet in five types of emotions they feel in love, from the intense fearlessness found within their comfort person ("OVERDRIVE") to a sense of lighthearted relaxation ("Be Alright (chillin')"). And in the end, they realize what's most important: they need that person to stay around for the rest of their life.

Ahead, WEi sat down with Sweety High to further discuss the meaning of love and their most memorable moments from the making of the LOVE series.

Sweety High: You describe the LOVE series as a "Cinematic Love Moment" that fans can imagine with all six WEi members. What does this "Cinematic Love Moment"  look like from WEi's perspective?

DAE HYEON: It's the moment when you feel love just by looking into each other's eyes.

DONG HAN: Every moment since our debut has been like a movie.

YONG HA: The moment when I think of the person I love.

JUN SEO: The moment when we wait for the climax of a movie.

SEOK HWA: The moment when we move towards the same place with the same heart, even without speaking.

YO HAN: The moment we love each other unconditionally.

SH: This release explores the meaning of "loving yourself" and "loving each other." How do you think these two concepts manifest in Love Pt.3 : Eternally, and what have you found is the connection between the two?

DAE HYEON: Those forms of love are easily approachable, and when we connect them, they become the love that WEi wants to express. That's the ultimate connection to the end of the LOVE series.

SH: Throughout the LOVE trilogy, have you learned anything about what "love" really is? How have your relationship and love for one another transformed through this process?

SEOK HWA:  I realized the love I receive can be more emotional than the love I give. Hope you feel the warm comfort through our music.

SH: Each track describes a different emotion people feel when they are in love. Is there a song that aligns most with your current state of mind?

YONG HA: "All Day With You." Heading to the RUi planet right now!

YO HAN: For me, it's the title song, "OVERDRIVE." I'm finding myself to be less worried and concerned about things.

SH: What has been the most exciting part of making the tracks from the LOVE series' final installment?

DAE HYEON: Writing lyrics and composing songs.

JUN SEO: Time flew while we prepared for the end of the series!

SH: Do you have any fun memories from filming the music video?

DAE HYEON: Every time we filmed, it was raining. Even abroad, it poured! That's really memorable.

YONG HA: There was a scene where we fell off a boat. I can't forget the moment when our members came out of the water. The scene was edited, though.
