Here’s the Thing You Love Most About the Winter, Based on Your Zodiac Sign

Winter is officially here, and we are in love.

While not everybody is lucky enough to be walking through the winter wonderland that we're currently experiencing, there's a little something about the season for everyone to enjoy. Keep scrolling to discover what your zodiac sign loves most about the chilly months of winter.

Aries (March 21 – April 19): Winter Sports

It should be no surprise that active Aries loves the fact that winter brings snow, which allows for athletics that can't be enjoyed any other time of year. From snowboarding and skiing to ice skating and sledding, Aries is up for it all, and you can believe us when we say that they're going to make the most out of every minute of snow, because they know it's not going to stick around forever.

Taurus (April 20 – May 20): Cold Weather Fashion

Stylish and selective Taurus counts down the days until winter when they can break out all of their cutest coats, scarves, boots and more, which are really only appropriate for when the temperatures dip. They're drawn to fine things, which is why they only have the most fashionable pieces in their ensembles. The arrival of winter means they'll finally get a chance to show all of it off.

Gemini (May 21 – June 20): Cuddles

No one is more friendly and outgoing than affable Gemini, which is why their favorite thing about the arrival of winter is the chance to have the best cuddles with the people they care about most. When the weather gets near-freezing, the best way to stay warm is to huddle up with your loved ones, and Gemini will definitely make the most out of the situation and give the best hugs possible.

Cancer (June 21 – July 22): Staying in Bed All Day

Cancer is a sensitive yet protective sign that tends to hide away from the world a bit, but the best thing about sub-zero temperatures is that they're the perfect excuse to stay in and treat yourself. When it's cold out, there's nowhere better than the warm comfort of your own bed. It's Cancer's safe haven, and that's especially true during this time of the year.

Leo (July 23 – Aug. 22): Holiday Celebrations

Leo is the life of every party, and that includes holiday festivities, whether you're gathering for Christmas, the New Year or any other winter holiday. Leo loves commanding attention with their bold presence, amazing outfits and planned holiday activities. They're always up for a celebration, and what's more worth celebrating than the end-of-the-year holidays?

Virgo (Aug. 23 – Sep. 22): Sipping Hot Cocoa

Virgo is a sign known for being studious, reserved and hard-working, but they can definitely appreciate quiet moments of respite where they can just enjoy themselves. That's why the simple act of sipping hot cocoa is just right for them. It's a little treat that's best enjoyed during silent, thoughtful moments, and when Virgo is done, they can hop right back into that big project of theirs.

Libra (Sep. 23 – Oct. 22): Warming Up With a Hot Cup of Soup

Libra is a sign best known for their generosity, kindness and desire for maintaining peace, so they love the wintertime activity of warming up a huge pot of soup and sharing it with their friends and loved ones. Not only is it a communal activity that brings people together, but it also warms from within when it's cold outside, just like Libra aims to do with their sunny personalities.

Scorpio (Oct. 23 – Nov. 21): Winter Break

Loyal Scorpios tend to keep to themselves, being very cautious about the people they befriend and let into their lives, so we don't blame them for loving winter break more than any other aspect of the season. That means no school, and the chance to recharge away from all of the negativity in their lives—and of course, all of the time they want to hang out with the people who really do care for them and support them.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22 – Dec. 21): Snow Days

Sagittarius is the adventurer of the zodiac, so they'd rather not be cooped up all winter long. When it's a snow day and all of their responsibilities get canceled, they'll be the first to get all bundled up and head outside to create their own life expedition. They're more than happy to drop everything for the chance to experience something new, and the falling snow provides the perfect backdrop for it all.

Capricorn (Dec. 22 – Jan. 19): Fresh Starts

Capricorns are known for being the hardest workers of the zodiac, with a strong sense of ambition and an urge to get things done. They can struggle with making time to stop and enjoy their lives, and the fact that things slow down a little at the end of the year finally gives them a chance to take those breaks, and jump into the new year freshly recharged. They also tend to take this time planning the year ahead, and that fresh start is exactly what they need to thrive.

Aquarius (Jan. 20 – Feb. 18): The Spirit of Giving

Aquarius is the free-spirited altruist of the zodiac, and their favorite part of winter is that the seasonal festivities allow them to lean hard into the spirit of giving. When it comes to exchanging gifts for the holidays, they get a lot more joy out of seeing someone enjoy a gift they thoughtfully picked out than they actually get from opening presents themselves. They're happiest when they can do things for others, like volunteering or simply giving the most thoughtful gifts.

Pisces (Feb. 19 – March 20): Festive Decor

Last but not least is Pisces, the zodiac's dreamer and artist. When it comes to winter, their very favorite thing is the wonder of it all. Nothing brings a smile to their faces like shiny decorations in green, red and gold, and hearing those holiday bells ring. Few things make them happier than seeing the houses decked out in string lights and epic decorations. It awakens the child in them and gives them even more to dream about.
