The Winter 2025 Color Trend You Should Be Wearing, Based on Your Zodiac Sign

It's hard to believe we're already two weeks into 2025, and though the holidays often seem synonymous with the winter season, spring won't officially roll in until the end of March.

In the meantime, we're happy to keep the winter festivities rolling, and that includes enjoying its greatest fashion trends. Certain colors, in particular, have had our hearts as we've enjoyed the chill of winter, and we anticipate that a few of them will stick around into the spring and summer as well. They're all worth wearing, but if you're not sure where to start, keep scrolling to discover which color trend is just right for your zodiac sign.

Aries (March 21 – April 19): Cherry Red

No matter the season, nothing can dull Aries' fire, making cherry red a bold seasonal choice for the fire sign. Regardless of how you wear it, the freshness of this lively red stands out against the winter landscape, making as big of a statement as Aries themselves.

Taurus (April 20 – May 20): Mocha Mousse

Mocha mousse is the Pantone color of the year for a reason, with a warm and earthy hue evocative of a luscious dessert. As an earth sign associated with home, as well as decadence and the finer things in life, mocha mousse suits both their exquisite color palate and their love for all things rich and sweet.

Gemini (May 21 – June 20): Elphaba Green

Okay, so maybe Wicked's Elphaba isn't 100% responsible for the prevalence of emerald hues this season, but we like to think she played a big role. Just like the "wicked witch" is viewed very differently from opposing perspectives, there's also a unique duality to Gemini. Whether you wear these jewel-toned greens as accents or the main statement, you're sure to turn heads.

Cancer (June 21 – July 22): Powdery Glinda Pinks

On the other side of the spectrum, Glinda's signature shade of powdery soft pink has also been big at the beginning of this year—and for good reason. After hot Barbie pinks took over in 2023, we're ready to celebrate the less in-your-face pinks on the color spectrum. They create a look that's fluttery, feminine and soothing, making them ideal for sensitive Cancers.

Leo (July 23 – Aug. 22): Burnt Orange

Everything about Leo screams orange hues, from the fact they're born in the summer to being represented by a lion and ruled by the sun. They, too, can shine just as vibrantly and defiantly as a star, no matter how cold dreary the weather gets, in eye-catching burnt orange and rust colors.

Virgo (Aug. 23 – Sep. 22): Warm Greys

As a classic and practical zodiac sign, Virgo really can't go wrong with warm greys this season. They manage to feel wintery and cozy all at once without looking drab or dull, and since different tones can mix and match with ease, Virgo doesn't have to spend too much time coordinating their outfits, so they can dedicate more focus on the things that truly matter.

Libra (Sep. 23 – Oct. 22): Bold Sapphire

As a sign, Libra is known for a unique sense of balance, and that's precisely what they get wearing bold sapphire hues—especially in the wintertime. Libras can be a bit indecisive, but with sapphire, they never have to choose between vibrant and colorful looks and appropriately cool winter hues, because the shade really is the best of both worlds.

Scorpio (Oct. 23 – Nov. 21): Vibrant Purples

We're sure we're not the only ones who associate the dark mystery of Scorpio with the color purple, and this season's take on the classic color couldn't be better for the scorpion. While soft lavenders and more subdued violets have been popular in recent years, this winter, it's all about ditching subtlety with saturated, attention-getting hues. With this color, Scorpio's allure can only get stronger.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22 – Dec. 21): Cheery Yellow

Always the optimist, Sagittarius's trending winter color has to be cheery yellow, joining their attitudes in contrasting against the cold, gloomy winter. This pop of yellow is a dose of happiness and sunshine no matter what the season, much like Sags themselves.

Capricorn (Dec. 22 – Jan. 19): Denim Blue

Traditional Capricorns are probably one of the least likely signs to care about or follow style trends, which is why they can go with a tried-and-true classic in the form of denim blue this season. Truly, denim never goes out of style, and whether they layer their favorite jeans with a denim jacket, wear a single statement piece or even wear something in the right shade of blue without rocking denim, they'll always be dressed to impress.

While we already mentioned striking emerald for this winter season, olive is another shade we can't get enough of. It's perfectly suited for dreamy, creative Pisces with its neutral feel and wearable versatility.
