All of us are guilty of at least one bad habit in the classroom, whether we'd like to admit it or not.

Aries (March 21 – April 19): Always Having to Be First

We firmly believe that excitable, impatient Aries is the first sign of the zodiac because they couldn't stand the thought of being second. That's particularly true when you're in a classroom setting. When you're taking a test, you always race to finish it before anyone else. When the teacher asks a question, your hand always shoots into the air, even if you don't actually know the answer. Lucky for you, you're not afraid to make an educated guess, and your intuition often steers you in the right direction.

 

Taurus (April 20 – May 20): Being More Into Your School Supplies Than the Actual Class

Taurus loves to indulge and surround themselves with nice things, and back-to-school is actually one of their favorite times of the year because it means shopping for super cute supplies. There's nothing wrong with being obsessed with your new backpack or your adorable pencil case, but you can get a little too invested in them, playing with your new stuff instead of paying any attention to class. Your grades may suffer, but at least you'll look fabulous in class.

Gemini (May 21 – June 20): Talking and Passing Notes During Class

Geminis are social creatures, and they have a really hard time not communicating with friends when they're right next to them. You've always struggled with keeping quiet in the classroom, as you always have something to say to your friends. You think that when the teacher is deep in a lecture you might get away with whispering back and forth with a buddy or passing them a note, but you tend to get caught anyway.

 

Cancer (June 21 – July 22): Getting Overwhelmed By Small Assignments

Cancers tend to have a lot going on in those brilliant, emotional minds of theirs, and sometimes, the littlest thing can be the straw that breaks the camel's back. You tend to be super capable, but sometimes finding out that you have even more to do can push you over the edge and totally overwhelm you. You have a tough time compartmentalizing different aspects of your life. Still, if you take a step back and take things one step at a time, you'll see that it's not that much and that you really can do it.

Leo (July 23 – Aug. 22): Constantly Interrupting Class

Leo has a larger-than-life personality and loves to be the center of attention, and that doesn't stop just because the teacher is talking. You'll often find ways to interrupt the lecture that start with a relevant point and then manage to spiral into a story about yourself and the cool stuff you've done. Sometimes, this is a welcome break from the monotony of a boring class. Other times, it's a huge distraction when you really should be learning the subject matter.

 

Virgo (Aug. 23 – Sep. 22): Never Being Satisfied With Your Work

Virgo is the perfectionist of the zodiac, and no matter how much time and energy they've sunk into a project, they always feel like there's something they could do to make it better. While your drive to be perfect results in your homework and assignments being the best of the best, you're rarely happy with them. You wind up spending all of your time caught up in tiny details that only matter to you, and you often exhaust yourself in the process.

 

Libra (Sep. 23 – Oct. 22): Being the Teacher's Pet

Libra is a people-pleaser, and when you're in a classroom setting, the most important person to please is the teacher. Of course, this can lead to you quickly becoming the teacher's pet. You dislike conflict and will suck up to the teacher in hopes of being well-liked, which works out great for you. However, you may find that the other students resent you a little for always currying the teacher's favor. How you decide to strike a balance between being liked by the teacher and by your classmates is up to you.

Scorpio (Oct. 23 – Nov. 21): Expecting 'A's on Every Assignment

Scorpio doesn't like to fail. You have extremely high expectations when it comes to your work, and you can't stand performing poorly. You've come to expect 'A's on every test you take and assignment you turn in, which just isn't realistic. That's especially true when you anticipate the good grade, despite not studying or putting in a full effort. Everyone likes to do well, but it might help you to set more realistic goals, particularly in the tougher classes.

 

Sagittarius (Nov. 22 – Dec. 21): Being Way Too Ambitious

Sagittarius is optimistic and thinks they can do anything, and they tend to totally overestimate what they can do in a given amount of time. It's not that you're not capable, it's just that you think you can do way more in a given time period than is actually possible. You totally underestimate the amount of time it'll take to do your homework, and you wind up staying way too late to finish it. It's great that you're ambitious, but you should pay attention to what you can actually physically do, and adjust your goals accordingly.

 

Capricorn (Dec. 22 – Jan. 19): Taking Over Every Group Project

Capricorn is the hard-working, determined mom of every classroom. When it comes to group projects, you don't think twice about being the group leader and dominating the discussion, essentially doing the entire thing yourself. You tend to be a little patronizing and don't necessarily trust others to hold up their end of the plan, so you take matters out of their hands completely. Sure, the assignment typically turns out picture-perfect, but you always wind up doing way more than your fair share.

 

Aquarius (Jan. 20 – Feb. 18): Thinking You Know Better Than the Teacher

Aquarius is an independent thinker who plays by their own rules, and they frequently believe they know better than anyone else in the room—particularly if it's the teacher. You're not afraid to be contrarian or voice your opinion if it differs from what you're learning in class, which can be pretty disruptive to all of the other students. Once in a while, you even have a point. Still, most of the time it's a better idea to just go along with the teacher. Defying them doesn't usually result in the best grades.

 

Pisces (Feb. 19 – March 20): Getting Lost in Thought for the Entire Class

Pisces is the dreamer of the zodiac, and they're easily lost in thought. Since class is one of the easiest places to get distracted by daydreams, you tend to have a hard time paying attention for more than a few minutes at a time, or being engaged at all. The classroom is where you've concocted some of your weirdest schemes and scripted elaborately imaginative stories while you were supposed to be learning math or history. Sometimes, you learn more easily out of a book, so you'll manage to catch up somehow.
