I’m Saying ‘Yes to’ These Face Masks and This Is Why
Face masks are all the rage to keep your skin happy and healthy these days.
It seems like every time I check my Instagram feed, I always see a handful of my followers taking selfies in their face masks. Beauty gurus across the world also seem to swear by them.
Not wanting to miss out on this trend, I decided to be a total bandwagoner and try on some of my own. Here's what happened when I tried out four different types of the Yes to brand's paper masks.
Yes to Tomatoes Paper Mask
What it is: An acne-fighting tomato-based mask that's meant to help you get rid of breakouts on acne-prone skin
Cost: $2.99
My thoughts on the mask: I will admit that I hate the smell of tomatoes and was worried the mask would have a putrid stench, but it thankfully did not.

The mask was a little big on my face, as you can tell from the during picture above with it drooping off my chin. My skin is generally pretty clear, but when I used this mask I had a bit of acne happening between my brows. The next morning when I woke up, my acne was visibly less red. And after two days, they had practically vanished. I definitely would recommend this mask for anyone who is trying to quickly clear up their skin.
Yes to Tomatoes Charcoal Paper Mask
What it is: A detoxifying charcoal and tomato mask that will clear the pores of those with oily skin
Cost: $2.99
My thoughts on the mask: I have no problem telling all of you that I have pretty oily skin, so I was more than elated to try on this mask.

There was a nice tingly feeling happening on my face while wearing the mask, which is supposed to happen. But the instructions do warn that if the feeling gets to be a little out of control, you should probably take it off. Normally I wake up with my skin drenched in oil. But after using the charcoal mask the night before, that didn't happen—yay! You can guarantee I'll be using this mask more often in my life to keep my pores as clean as can be.
Yes to Cucumbers Paper Mask
What it is: A calming cucumber mask that soothes sensitive skin
Cost: $2.99
My thoughts on the mask: Instantly upon opening the package, my nostrils were greeted by the pleasant aroma of cucumbers and I was immediately put in a calm mood.

The mask was completely refreshing and I could feel it cleaning every single pore on my face. I was so relaxed the whole time I was wearing the mask, so I didn't want the experience to come to an end. When I woke up the next morning, my skin had a healthy glow and I just wanted to show it off to the world.
Yes to Grapefruit Paper Mask
What it is: A pore-perfecting grapefruit mask that will correct and repair uneven skin tone
Cost: $15.99
My thoughts on the mask: I don't have that uneven of a skin tone, but I do have a few spots of discoloration here and there. Plus, I had a little bit of a sunburn recently, so there was added redness to my face.

This mask smelled just like a grapefruit, meaning it had a strong citrus scent. If you're not a fan of citrusy aromas, you might want to avoid this mask. Because I only used this mask once, I didn't notice too much of difference in my skin's color. But I did wake up with brighter, glowing skin. And the tiny strip of redness on my nose almost all went away after using the grapefruit mask.
All in all, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend all of these masks to everyone I know. My favorite was the cucumber mask, simply because it instantly put me in a zen mood. That being said, I really did enjoy using all of them and my skin has never felt better.
