Here’s the Buffy the Vampire Slayer Character You Are, Based on Your Zodiac Sign

We're still giddy over last week's news about a Buffy the Vampire Slayer revival. Only time will tell if the new show lives up to the high expectations set by the original, but regardless, we're eager to see where the series will head next.

It's also been the perfect excuse to dive back into our favorite classic Buffy episodes and fall in love with the show—and its beloved characters—all over again. Between its humans and demons, everyone has a favorite, but is your fave also the one that mostly closely suits your personality? There really is a character that matches every sign of the zodiac, so scroll down below to find yours (and beware of spoilers!).

Aries (March 21 – April 19): Faith Lehane

When Faith shows up on the scene, she quickly proves she's unlike any other Slayer we've met so far. She's a woman of action whose quick-thinking and sense of daring have saved her life more times than she can count, though they also frequently get her into trouble. Like most Aries, Faith can be impulsive and fiery, never looking before she leaps, though deep down, she's always seeking the authentic type of connection she lacked in her early life. At the end of the day, and with the right support, she's destined to do the right thing.

Taurus (April 20 – May 20): Spike

At first, it may seem strange to associate Spike, a vampire, with down-to-earth Taurus, but hear us out. Despite being a demon, Spike is fiercely loyal and dependable, first to his vampire soulmate, Drusilla, and then to Buffy—and that's before he ever got a soul (which he was willing to sacrifice everything for, by the way). Tauruses also admire fine things, and as both a poet and a lover of food, Spike can relate. He even has a recipe for cooking the perfect onion blossom every time.

Gemini (May 21 – June 20): Buffy Summers

Sure, Buffy tells us in the show that she's a "Capricorn, on the cusp of Aquarius," but we think the sign of Gemini is a much better fit for her most important qualities. After all, Gemini is the sign of duality, and who's forced to live two lives more than a girl who's a normal high schooler by day and a Vampire Slayer all night? She has to balance a lot of responsibility, between living her "real" life and her destiny as a chosen one. It's also revealed that before arriving in Sunnydale, she was quite the social butterfly.

Cancer (June 21 – July 22): Angel

Could the sensitive, secretive and brooding vampire Angel really be characterized by any sign other than Cancer? The crab has a reputation for maintaining a tough shell because they're quite soft on the inside. Similarly, Angel has always kept people at a distance—first, because he didn't believe he deserved goodness in his life, and later, because he learned that true happiness would turn him back into a soulless killing machine. This curse keeps him guarded, but to those close to him, he's also extremely loyal, nurturing and empathetic.

Leo (July 23 – Aug. 22): Cordelia Chase

If there's one sign that has all of the makings of a queen bee, it's Leo, and there couldn't be one more suited to the one and only Cordelia Chase. Leos are naturally charismatic with magnetic personalities, and much like Cordelia, they love to be the center of attention and the star of the show. She knows how to turn heads, and she has the confidence to speak her mind, without ever mincing words or caring about what others might think of her. Though at first, she might seem shallow, she's also a hero in her own right, and she's willing to go way out on a limb for the people she cares about.

Virgo (Aug. 23 – Sep. 22): Willow Rosenberg

Virgo is often considered the perpetual student of the zodiac, sharing much in common with Buffy's best friend, Willow Rosenberg. When we first meet her, she's a straight A student who can't get enough of academics and burying herself in books. When she devotes herself to learning magic, however, her attention to detail and commitment to her craft soon make her one of the most powerful witches on earth. She's a reliable friend who's always eager to help, though she can also be critical and obsessive in a way that leads her down a dark path.

Libra (Sep. 23 – Oct. 22): Xander Harris

Xander Harris may not have any superpowers, but he often feels like the glue that holds the Scooby Gang together—a role often held by Libra. They're the diplomats of the zodiac known for their friendly natures and their desire for balance and friendship, and Xander's biggest strength is lending support and being a good friend when it's needed most. Even when he's mostly quipping, he helps the others stay afloat and grounds them when the situation is getting dire.

Scorpio (Oct. 23 – Nov. 21): Dawn Summers

Much like Scorpios, Dawn Summers does not deserve all of the hate thrown her way. Between being a late addition to the cast (because she's secretly a mystical key to a hell dimension) and being a realistic teenage girl, she's just misunderstood, and we've never understood how harshly she's criticized. Like the scorpion, Dawn also feels her feelings intensely, but is deeply loyal and determined when it matters. However, because she's often overshadowed and cast aside, she does have a tendency to lean into her vices.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22 – Dec. 21): Anya Jenkins

We first meet Anya as the vengeance demon Anyanka, but don't let the fact she created an alternate dimension where Buffy never came to Sunnydale stop you from loving her a much as we do. It takes her a while to get the hang of being human again, but once she does, she's curious, playful and fun-loving—all of the signature traits of Sagittarius. She's very open to new experiences and looking at things from a fresh new perspective, and thought she can be overly blunt—often to the point of hurting people's feelings—she's always authentic and full of optimism. Plus, who can resist her money dance?

Capricorn (Dec. 22 – Jan. 19): Rupert Giles

The sign of Capricorn has a reputation for being quite stuffy and traditional, and as a Watcher, it's basically Giles' job to be precisely those things. He's sent in to be a mentor for Buffy, guiding her training and teaching her about the hidden world of demons, and while he tries to do things by the book, he soon realizes the most important thing is to keep her safe. He has a tendency to be very serious and focused on his responsibilities. At the same time, he also hides a dangerous past, and occasionally, more unexpected aspects of his life peek through.

Aquarius (Jan. 20 – Feb. 18): Daniel 'Oz' Osbourne

Aquarius isn't a sign that plays by anyone else's rules, and that's precisely how we'd describe Oz. He's the kind of guy who defines success in his own way, repeating senior year of high school, despite being a top student, because he couldn't be bothered to show up, and is in a popular band, even though he confesses he's not very skilled at the guitar. Like Aquarius, he can also appear cool and careful, often to the point of seeming aloof, though he's actually emotionally intelligent when he does open his mouth. He also happens to be a werewolf. Is there anything more unpredictable than that?

Pisces (Feb. 19 – March 20): Tara Maclay

And finally, we think the sweet, dreamy and open-minded qualities of Pisces align beautifully with Tara Maclay. Like most Pisces, she's a hopeless romantic who loves love, and is thus prone to being hurt by those she loves most. Despite her own struggles in the past, she never judges others, viewing the world with curiosity and doing what she can to offer her best advice. She's also highly intuitive, with an affinity for magic that makes her a powerful witch.
