It's no secret that some zodiac signs have better reputations than others when it comes to being a kind, thoughtful or trustworthy person.

But guess what? Everyone has at least one bad bone in their body. While, sure, you may overall be a good person, please don't sit here and tell us you've never done something to someone that was a little messed up.

Aries (March 21 – April 19): You Throw People Under the Bus

Fiery, driven, outspoken Aries, we all know passive aggressive just isn't your schtick. And while it's more of a good thing to be upfront with how you feel about a situation, you're quick to throw someone under the bus if they do or say something you don't agree with (whether it really affects you or not). While some signs prefer to talk to someone one-on-one, you have no problem calling them out in front of others if you feel like they're out of line, or if you simply just don't want to take on the blame of their misstep (regardless of whether or not it's your fault).

Taurus (April 20 – May 20): You Make People Choose Between Friends

Taurus, as an earth sign, you are by far one of the most grounded of the zodiac. You think things through, you're wise with your expenditures and you have a pretty laid-back demeanor. That said, like the rest of 'em, you're not exempt from shady traits. As a bull, you're one of the most stubborn signs, and, at times, it's evident in your friendships. You refuse to waste your time in the company of people you can't stand (which does make sense), but, as a result, you often make people choose between friends (sometimes just situationally and other times permanently). This can be weighing on your relationships, as ultimatums are never fun. But this is what keeps you sane and prevents you from soaking up the energy of people you deem toxic.

 

Gemini (May 21 – June 20): You Flirt With Your Friends' S.O.s and Crushes

Ah, Gemini, what's not to love? You're outgoing, always down for a good time, and you're a huge flirt. While there's absolutely nothing wrong with overly giggling at your lab partner's jokes, or playfully bumping into your crush at their locker, it becomes straight-up shady when the people you're flirting with are romantically connected to someone you're friends with. While it's easy to say "I just can't help it, I'm a natural flirt," or "It's totally harmless, it's just my personality," there's really no excuse, as it shows you don't respect the people you're close to. Rest assured, they are plenty more fish in the sea to flirt with, so hands off ones who are the property of your pals.

Cancer (June 21 – July 22): You Hold Unnecessary Grudges

Sensitive Cancer, we applaud your intuition and emotional awareness. You're the empathetic shoulder we cry on when we're going through a rough patch. But, sometimes your feelings get the best of you, leading you to create fake situations that are all in your head. You're often suspicious and paranoid about someone for no reason. Your deep emotional nature causes you to read into things sometimes. This, unfortunately, leads you to hold unnecessary grudges against people. While on the surface, this isn't a shady trait, it becomes one when these grudges cause "innocent victims" to be left out of things or has others thinking these people are bad, based solely on your own thoughts.

 

Leo (July 23 – Aug. 22): You Post Terrible Group Photos of Your Friends So You'll Look the Best

While your friends absolutely love you (and you love them, too), you have no problem painting them in an unflattering light on social media, if it means you're the standout in the group shot. Dominant, egotistic Leo, you need the spotlight on you at all times. While some people would rather have all the hot friends, you'd much prefer everyone looking worse than you so you can garner all the attention and compliments. While it's not the end of the world, it's still pretty messed up that you can't share center stage with your pals.

Virgo (Aug. 23 – Sep. 22): You Call People Out in Front of Others

Meticulous, practical, analytical Virgo, you're programmed to only see things one way—your way. You spend most of your time working hard and, based on all your efforts and things you've learned in life, you don't have time or patience for people who see things differently. Your passion for your opinions makes you quick to criticize others who you believe are wrong—and you aren't afraid to do it in front of others. While these outbursts aren't typically superficial and are based on mostly facts, making them in front of others can be embarrassing and hurtful. While you're one of the least dramatic signs overall, when it comes to an opinion you disagree with, things can get ugly.

 

Libra (Sep. 23 – Oct. 22): You Tell White Lies

Gentle and kind Libra, all you want is a harmonious existence for you and the world around you. While your shadiness is by no means intentional, your desire to please everyone leads you to tell white lies. When you're able to get away with them without anyone getting hurt, you rest easy at night. But when your seemingly innocuous lies catch up with you, that's when you find yourself worse off than had you just told the truth in the first place. Honesty is the best policy, especially when it's not even anything worth hiding!

Scorpio (Oct. 23 – Nov. 21): You're Manipulative

Dark and brooding Scorpio, if we were to write a book about shadiness, you'd be the star. But we wouldn't say that if we didn't think you agreed. You thrive off your manipulative and calculating ways. The world is one big chess game, and you're always the winning opponent. Hard-working and charismatic yet oh-so-secretive, you always know exactly what you're doing, and proceed to get whatever you want. You may step on a few toes in the process, but you couldn't care less. All of your actions are well-thought out, and no good deed is done without your own benefit in mind. We're not wrong, right?

 

Sagittarius (Nov. 22 – Dec. 21): You Flake With No Explanation

Your shadiness is a bummer, Sag, because everyone loves you. You're carefree, funny, spontaneous, drama-free, and you take good care of yourself, mentally and physically. That said, you're pretty selfish with your time (but not for any meaningful reasons), and will only take on whatever activity suits you at the moment—even if you made a solid commitment to doing something else. You never bother to apologize or even offer up a lame excuse when it comes to flaking on plans, which makes it disappointing and hard for a lot of people to get close to you.

Capricorn (Dec. 22 – Jan. 19): You Make Sure Certain People Are Excluded

It's your way or the highway, Cap—and when it comes to inclusivity, your sign is at the bottom of the chart. Wise, cautious, stubborn and self-centered, you're not quite a go-with-the-flow, the-more-the-merrier sign. You're pretty judgmental, and you like things a very particular way, so you'll make your opinions very clear when it comes to people who are invited to stuff. Whether you're the host or just an attendee, you know it will be impossible to enjoy yourself with a guest who doesn't tickle your fancy—so you'll stop at nothing to make sure they're nowhere to be found.

 

Aquarius (Jan. 20 – Feb. 18): You Hack Into Other People's Accounts

Always an outside-of-the-box, deep thinker, you aren't shady in conventional ways, Aquarius. In your mind, why waste your time stabbing someone in the back, when you can do something that actually stimulates your brain? Pisces (Feb. 19 – March 20): You Don't Stand Up for Your Close Friends

To be fair, Pisces, much like Libra, you're one of the most harmonious signs. You're a selfless little being, always helping others and wishing nothing but the best for everyone around you. That said, because you're so focused on lack of drama in your life, you rarely speak up for what you believe in. Fearful of conflict and somewhat weak-willed, you don't stand up for your friends during times when it's totally your place. This often causes people to think you're not loyal, when really you're just fearful of speaking your truth.
