Leo (July 23–Aug. 22)

Leos, ruled by the sun, are the superstars of the zodiac, and they desire few things more than receiving praise, recognition and admiration from others. They thrive on being in the spotlight, which can really mess with their ideas about relationships. Unlike other signs, who may want their peers to keep up with them, Leos may seek an unbalanced amount of support and congratulations and feel underappreciated even when they receive a healthy amount of praise.

Virgo (Aug. 23–Sep. 22)

Virgos can often be fussy and perfectionistic, known for their attention to detail and high standards, which they apply to others just as much as they apply to themselves. There are very few occasions when they don't give something their all, so it can be difficult for them to understand why not everyone else is also willing to put in 100%. They're also highly critical and might make harsh comments when they feel like they've been let down. They have a reputation for being difficult to satisfy, which is why clear and open communication (and setting realistic expectations) is the key to happiness when you have a Virgo in your life.

Libra (Sep. 23–Oct. 22)

Ironically, air sign Libra's desire for balance and harmony in their relationships can actually create a massive imbalance. Since they're always so considerate of the feelings and needs of others, they always expect the same in return, when most signs don't always have the capacity to fully up others before themselves. Libras can easily put themselves into situations where they feel neglected and disappointed without ever actually communicating what they want out of a friendship. As usual, this can be easily solved by talking things out.

Scorpio (Oct. 23–Nov 21)

Scorpio is the only water sign to make this list, and that's because the scorpions are so intensely passionate about the things they care about. When something matters to them, they get fully invested, and this includes the emotional connections they make with loved ones. They expect the same kind of care and attention in return, and can find themselves hurt and resentful if those feelings aren't reciprocated and their emotional needs aren't met. This has earned Scorpio a negative reputation, when in reality, keeping them happy is just a matter of understanding their needs.

 

Capricorn (Dec. 22–Jan. 19)

Of course, Virgos aren't the only hard-working earth signs on this list. Capricorns are possibly the most dedicated sign of all, with the drive and ambition to make even their loftiest goals possible. They set their sights high—and believe others have a duty to do the same. Of course, not everyone is as responsible as they are, nor as rigidly dutiful to their dreams in academics and careers. They often struggle to understand why no one else is willing to be as all-work-and-no-play as they are, when the healthier thing is to find a balance between the two.
