Levent Geiger Yearns to Hear Those 3 Little Words With New Single, ‘Love Me’
21-year-old German singer-songwriter Levent Geiger has recently been establishing himself as one of the most exciting rising voices in pop, and his new track, "Love Me," proves he's about more than catchy lyrics and soulful vocals.
Backed by fluttery piano and dreamy strings, "Love Me" is one of the most romantic tracks we've heard all year. It's a pop-R&B love ballad for the ages, elevated further by Levent's vocal performance infused with honesty and heart. In the song, Levent hopes that the one he loves feels the same way about him, yearning to finally hear the words "I love you." We got to chat with Levent himself to learn more about the songwriting process and the times he's felt the same way in the interview below.
The Story Behind 'Love Me'
Levent Geiger: "Love Me" is all about that moment when you're waiting for someone to say they love you back for the first time. I've definitely had those times where I was totally overthinking, just hoping the other person felt the same way. It's exciting but nerve-racking at the same time, and I wanted to capture that feeling because I think it's something a lot of us go through.
What 'Love Me' Means
LG: The song means a lot to me. The blend of the piano, strings, production and lyrics feels very special. I hope that my fans can connect with it and also feel the same emotions I do when listening to the song.

Levent's Favorite Lyric
LG: My favorite lyric is "Some things you can't buy with money." It's simple but reminds us that the most valuable things in life, like love and connection, aren't things you can own or control.

What's Next
LG: I'm working on more music, of course, and once the timing is right, an album is definitely a dream of mine. I'll also be playing my first headliner shows in 2025, which I'm super excited about. And there are some other exciting things I can't talk about yet…

Final Thoughts
LG: I wrote the song with some friends of mine in L.A., and it wasn't a typical session. For the first few hours, we had nothing, and I remember them suggesting we should call it a day. Then, out of nowhere, I had an idea and ran to the piano. In just a few minutes, we had the full hook of the song, and we could all feel the energy in the room.
